Cyanide Leaching Chemistry & Gold Cyanidation. The reactions that take place during the dissolution of gold in cyanide solutions under normal conditions have been fairly definitely established. Most agree that the overall cyanide equation for leaching and cyanidation of gold is as follows: 4 Au + 8 NaCN + O2 + 2 H20 = 4 NaAu (CN)2 + 4 NaOH.
The increased leaching of elements, such as Cr, Mo, Ni, and Se, has also been previously observed in AAMs made from coal fly ashes, fluidized bed combustion fly ashes, and ferronickel slag, with leaching test being done according to EN 12457 or similar procedures. 44-46 This is due to the alkaline conditions that occur in such leaching tests ...

The analysis of the chemical composition of steel slag shows the content of Cr at the level of 2 915 mg·kg −1. Chromium exists in slags as magnesiochromite (MgO·Cr 2 O 3) or solid chromium oxide (Cr 2 O 3). In contact with water the tri- and hexavalent chromium (highly soluble in water) can be released from the slag by means of a leaching ...
the basics of leaching tests for waste materials, current regulatory leaching tests, interpretation of leaching test results, factors influencing contaminant leaching, and uses of leaching tests for evaluating risk associated with solid waste management for decision making. This document mainly describes leaching of inorganic species.
Slag is a common raw materials for cement industry. The hardness of slag is around 6-7 in Moh's scale (harder than cement clinker). For the aim to grind slag (15-20 mm) to a final fineness of 30 microns. After the slag dry, the slag less than 50mm fed into the rolling mill, the slag will […]

In this study, we adopted a selective leaching–chemical precipitation process to recover P from steelmaking slag. The effects of the acid, pH, and valence of Fe in slag on the leaching characteristics of P were first investigated. Chemical precipitation was then adopted to extract P from the leachate.
The variations in this ferronickel slag leaching research were leaching time, solvent concentration and leaching temperature. The reverse leaching of ferronickel slag was carried out with a time variation of 15 to 240 minutes, the temperature of 30 °C, 70 °C, and 100 °C and NaOH concentrations are 9 M, 10 M, and 11 M.
Ferronickel Slag. The ferronickel high rate cooled slag appeared black–grey, opaque and glassy. Its particle size distribution is presented in Fig. 1. 90 wt% of it exhibits a grain size smaller than 2 mm, whereas the 50 wt% was below 0.9 mm. Chemical analysis is given in Tables 1 and 2.Iron and silicon were the main constituents and accounted for 81 wt% of the slag mass.
